The Moore County Dems walked in the Taylortown Day Parade. We hit our goal of 50 Democrats walking. We wore Dem t-shirts and carried signs and banners that supported Kamala Harris, Democratic candidates and our Democratic values.
The Moore County Dems are proud to share an office with the Harris Coordinated Campaign. Over 100 Volunteers joined us on Saturday, August 24, noon-1:30pm for the Harris Coordinated Campaign Office Grand Opening & Moore County Back to School Drive, 175 W. New Hampshire, Southern Pines.
Attendees brought school supplies to support the schools in our county. As Moore County Democrats organize, we will fight to build a stronger, more inclusive Moore County.
On August 19, Democrats gathered to learn how Moore County will help elect Kamala Harris, Josh Stein, and Democrats in Moore County. We heard from NC Supreme Court Justice and 2024 Candidate Allison Riggs. This year’s election (and Justice Earls’ re-election in 2026) will determine whether the court can shift back to Democratic control in 2028.
Our final Moore County Project 100 canvass event. The hot weather didn’t deter almost 20 volunteers from knocking on doors reminding voters that Democrats are fighting for your freedoms.
On May 4th, a group of nearly 40 Democrats came together to reach out to Democrats and unaffiliated voters and discuss how the Democratic Party is fighting for a better life for North Carolinians and their families. The event was organized in partnership with Daniel Franch of Project 100, and Dr. Kimberly Hardy, Second Vice Chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party, also joined the conversation. We know that one-on-one conversations are crucial for cutting through the noise and having meaningful discussions that will help elect Democrats.
At Springfest 2024 in Southern Pines, the Moore County Democratic Party booth was staffed by a team of highly dedicated volunteers. We had numerous engaging conversations with North Carolinians who are undoubtedly determined to make Moore County a better place for themselves and their families.
During our general member meeting, candidates Braxton Winston, running for Commissioner of Labor, and Nigel Bristow, running for Congress in District 9, addressed the Moore County Democrats. They spoke about their plans to improve the lives of Moore County residents and families. Monique Baker also provided information on Project 100, an ambitious initiative to connect with voters throughout Moore County. We know our organizing efforts will help turn North Carolina blue!
Nearly 80 Democrats met in Southern Pines for our Annual Moore County Dems Convention. We heard from candidates and elected delegates to District and State conventions. We are organizing and ready to win in 2024!
School board candidates from Moore County as well as NC Superintendent of Public Instruction candidate Mo Green addressed a packed house of Moore County Democrats on February 19th. Democrats are champions of education because our kids deserve an honest education that prepares them for the future. Democrats fight for our children.
