Early Voting Period Starts October 15th and Ends October 31s

IMPORTANT DATES

• Sep. 4, 2026:  Vote-by-Mail ballots begin going out 
• Oct. 9, 2026:  Last day to register by mail, online or at DMV 
• Oct. 15, 2026: Early Voting Begins!
• Oct. 20, 2026:  Vote-by-Mail request deadline 
• Oct. 31, 2026: Early Voting ends (3 pm)
• Nov. 3, 2026: Election Day

Photo ID:  Voters will be asked to show photo ID when voting in North Carolina. Click here to see acceptable forms of ID. You can get a free photo ID at the Moore County Board of Elections and N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles. Check out locations here. All voters will be allowed to vote with or without a photo ID by voting a provisional ballot and filling out a ID Exception Form or returning with a photo ID.
