Precinct Information

Political Calendar

  • Precinct Committee Annual Meetings (February–March): Scheduled by the North Carolina Democratic Party. Precinct leaders are elected to two-year terms in odd-numbered years, and leadership vacancies are filled in even-numbered years.
  • Statewide Primary: Held on the first Tuesday in March.
  • County Convention (Spring): The Moore County Democratic Party holds an annual convention each spring to conduct county party business and consider resolutions.
  • District Convention (Spring): Moore County Democrats participate in the 9th Congressional District Convention, which addresses district business and considers resolutions.
  • CEC Meetings: The County Executive Committee (CEC) meets no less than three times each year, as called by the Chair of the Moore County Democratic Party.
  • Election Day: Held on the second Tuesday in November. Presidential and midterm elections occur in even-numbered years; some local jurisdictions hold elections in odd-numbered years.
