Two-Year Goals & Objectives

Goal 1: Strengthen Local Political Engagement & Organizing

Objective 1.1: Organize all 26 precincts by building a network of precinct officers and volunteers.

  • Identify and recruit precinct leaders in all areas by Q3 of Year 1.
  • Conduct training for precinct captains on voter outreach, election laws, and party messaging twice yearly.
  • Help precinct leaders develop precinct-level action plans, including voter registration drives and community engagement events.

Objective 1.2: Increase voter participation and engagement.

  • Conduct at least two voter registration drives per year in conjunction with other organizations.
  • Host educational forums and town halls to discuss key issues affecting Moore County.

Goal 2: Identify, Support, and Elect Democratic Candidates

Objective 2.1: Recruit and support strong Democratic candidates for local, county, state, and federal offices.

  • Establish a Candidate Recruitment Committee by Q2 of Year 1.
  • Actively seek community-minded candidates who reflect and understand the needs of our local population to run in local races.
  • Provide support, resources, and mentorship to empower candidates, including campaign strategy support, fundraising guidance and support, and public speaking training.

Objective 2.2: Strengthen campaign infrastructure for Democratic candidates.

  • Strengthen precincts to create a county-wide campaign support system that includes volunteer coordination, fundraising strategies, and voter outreach tools.
  • Incorporate a resource hub for candidates with materials on campaign management, messaging, and data analysis.
  • Host candidate networking sessions to foster collaboration and information sharing.
  • Conduct one large fundraiser to support candidates for the municipal elections.

Goal 3: Defend Freedoms, Support Families, and Strengthen Communities

Objective 3.1: Advocate for policies that protect voting rights and personal freedoms.

  • Monitor and actively oppose any local or state measures that restrict voting rights. Opportunities for action by our volunteers will be monitored and communicated by the Communications Committee in conjunction with the board and precinct leaders.
  • Grow and expand partnerships with local organizations to expand access to voter education and election protection efforts.
  • Promote policies that support families, including healthcare access, public education, and workers' rights.

Objective 3.2: Build stronger community partnerships to amplify Democratic values.

  • Increase relationships and alliances with local advocacy groups, unions, and civic organizations to support shared initiatives.
  • Host community service projects and partner with existing community organizations to demonstrate Democratic values in action, such as food drives, veteran support programs, and environmental clean-ups.
  • Increase social media and digital outreach to better communicate Democratic policies and initiatives to the public.
